Katy Ip
- Strategy and Growth Director, Innoage Hub
- Committee, Social Welfare Department, Sham Shui Po district Co-ordinating Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service
Ms. Katy Ip graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She is passionate about developing business models that combine social innovation with sustainable development to meet non-traditional needs in society.
During her career, she helped The Jade Club in transforming into a high-quality living platform for the elderly through technological applications during the pandemic. She created the “Happy Friends” app, catering to the needs of the new generation of elderly, allowing them to enjoy a variety of online and offline activities without regional restrictions and fostering community. This platform further connects different stakeholders in society to collaborate on promoting “Healthy Ageing.”
She currently works as the Strategy and Growth Director at Innoage Hub, where she is dedicated to shaping a positive narrative about ageing. She collaborates with companies to develop “silver economy” through event marketing and consultation, providing the new generation of elderly with more quality choices to meet their needs, and promotes the new trend of “Happy Ageing (幸福地老),” hoping to turn the gift of “longevity” into more opportunities for individuals and society.
Ms. Ip is also actively involved in promoting volunteer movement and was awarded the Hong Kong Outstanding Youth Volunteer by the Social Welfare Department in 2014. She has served on the coordinating committee in Kwun Tong and currently serves in the Sham Shui Po district.
